I think the WWF/E considered Razor Ramon and Scott Hall separate characters.
No they actually acknowledged him as Razor Ramon several times. Just the WWF(E) accepted the fact he had evolved and had become a much bigger star under his real Name and real like personality.
It was an AWESOME short run for the nWo in the WWF. But it didn’t last long for three reasons.
1. The WWF fans, especailly the long time fans, didn’t want to boo Hogan, no matter how much Vince tried to repackage him.
2. Hall just could not stay clean…and not much has changed with him since then.
3. Nash just could not stay healthy for long…again not much has changed.
THey had sick pops whenever they pulled out the spray paint, even when it was The Rock and Austin that they were attacking, people just knew how awesome these moments were… Vince tried to make them heels by attaching himself to them, but the fans just booed Vince and still popped for the nWo
Listen to the pop when Hall says “Hey, yo!” The nWo were faces despite the fact that they were labeled as heels.
