mlyon.com Self portrait painted in ‘gestures’ (diamonds, squares, and X’s) using acrylic paints applies using CNC machine and Paasche Flow Pencil in home made solenoid operated jig… The gesture set of small diamond, medium diamond, large diamond, X, small square, medium square, large square were simple subroutines — each gesture was rated for the percent it covered a square tile and then called based on the color density at that area of a master image. Very efficient code and (amazing to me) it worked pretty well!
