Honecomb boards weigh much less than solid aluminum boards because they have thin aluminum tops that are bonded to a lightweight “honeycomb” material.
The machine runs faster and smoother with these lighter boards and also the honeycomb material dissipates heat from the flash cure unit better. These boards are also easier to handle than much heavier solid aluminum boards.
